Grennaskolan Riksinternat AB is owned by the municipality of Jönköping through it holding company Rådhuset AB. The school is managed by a board of directors. The managing director is also the headmaster of the school.

Grennaskolan is one out of three national boarding schools. The school has just above 60 employees and some 280 students. Half of the students are boarders, among which some 20 nationalities are represented. The school offers year 7-9 with an international profile as well as the national Social Sciences Programmes, the national Natural Science Programme and the IB Diploma Programme in year 10-12.
