Evenemang på Grennaskolan
In the course of the academic year a number of events take place. During autumn semester we participate in several educational fairs around the country; Gothenburg and Jönköping in October and Stockholm in November. Welcome to visit us there.
Open House November 7 — All parents of our present students as well as curious prospect students and their parents are welcome to visit us for a day of information, music and entertainment.
Alumni weekend —All former students are invited to tea (or coffee) with our house parents and to a guided tour around the school. In the evening there is banquet in the dining hall organized by the Alumni Association (Föredettingföreningen).
Spring ball or prom - Including a boat trip on lake Vättern and banquet at Gyllene Uttern.
Musical — Every year the students, with the help of teachers from Grennaskolan and Kulturskolan in Jönköping, set up a musical to entertain students, parents, alumni and students from neighbouring schools.
Open day — a day in the beginning of June, full of activities in the beautiful garden: Singing, music, tug-of-war and Grenna Open.
Exam day — After celebrations and champagne in Salongen and dressed in traditional Swedish student hats, our graduates run out into the market square to be greeted by parents, friends and relatives. The shortest girl climbs the statue of Per Brahe, the town´s founder, to dress him in a giant student hat.
